RECENT:
2026 has been a bit slower for skilled tradespeople, the market seems to favor those using social media and handyman apps to present themselves as experts in a field I've dedicated my career to.
I don’t use any social media. Just my smart phone, texting and email. I created this website so I can find employment and say what I need to say. Otherwise, the work I do should speak for itself.
That said, I worked on a couple of small remodeling projects for a recently licensed contractor I really thought I might be a good fit. The ADU was behind schedule though he and I were able to put it back on the target move in. The other was a demo and refurbish of a kitchen. Simple project though made complicated by ineffective planning. Saw a pattern of over promising and under delivering so I was not surprised that nothing else was in the pipeline as promised. Following that I did a T111 siding demo and install, and a whole house replumb and a few small multi-day repairs here and there.
On the personal side I rebuilt the top end of my bobber, dropped a rebuilt TH350 into the work truck, and gave my garden some serious TLC with new raised beds and self pollinating, best yields I've ever had!
- Foundation to move-in, 9 months, one helper: <2,000 ft² house + 1,000 ft² deck +1,500 ft² garage (2025)
- Mudsill to TOP/move-in, 20 months, one helper 3200 ft² three-story addition, 11 crane picks, moment frames, 2x8 framing, forms, concrete, rough plumbing, (W14×53,W8×67), 2½" Zip-R (2024)
- Framed a multi-story hillside fire rebuild for a contractor with a helper. Including forms, foundation concrete work, built up flat roof with in the field drains and floating deck above.(2020)
- Working with contractor- drew plans, submitted, recieved approval on 2 story renovation. Did demo, plumbing and electrical, framing, sheetrock, along with sheet metal and an exterior fire suppression system, completed install of Orenco Advan tech septic treatment system. Passed all inspections (2018)
- Working with contractor -drew plans for remodel of 800 ft.² cottage, got permit on my initial submittal. Complete gut of interior, vaulted existing 8’ ceilings, pushed kitchen out 12’ and added foundation. Finished all framing. Did not know I was working with a loser who drank on the job and parted ways as soon as I discovered this fact.(2016)
- SF renovation work for group that owned downtown real estate. Lead crew of 5, demo and renovation of multistory and multi use buildings including a rock and roll museum and venue. Framing, plumbing, electrical, acoustic sound proofing, new residences in existing dead space, utility updates, hit my deadlines (Pre–2016)
WHAT I HANDLE
(These are things I can do, but if you’re already handling them, I don’t have to!)
- Strap my bags on and install materials
- Plans (architectural, structural, mechanical)
- Takeoffs, budgets, permits
- Framing, concrete, plumbing, finish, metal fab, tile, stone
- Subs—manage and/or work alongside
HOW I WORK
- $35K-40K or so in professional tools, ready day one, mobilize to the site unload tools and leave them. Makes for better start time and faster end of day pick up.
- Show up early, work clean, go home safe
- Don't need supervision, don't create problems
- Run my own work or coordinate with your crew—either way, it gets done and passes the inspection!

A replacement on demand water heater that I installed replacing the professionally installed previous one. Passed inspection
2025 Ready for framing, needed to grout under the mud sill with high compression mortar to compensate for 1” out of level foundatin in a few stretches.
2025 Beginning of another living space. I offered to Contractor to rough in waste and venting before laying subfloor.
So, I did that too.

I like to embed my metal strapping into the framing
Roof is up and decking going on as I go. Heading east to set and brace those trusses. Building lateral structure to stick frame walls for 6x18x31 Glulam.
